Job description
As a senior accountant, you will take a lead role in the evolution of our financial operations. You aren’t joining just to "maintain" a system; you are joining to architect one. Working directly with our Chief accountant, you will be the driving force behind our transition from an outsourced model to a high-performing internal powerhouse. This role is for a process-oriented professional who enjoys the "puzzle" of high-growth accounting, taking ownership of stabilizing our global e-commerce data flows and spearheading our NetSuite automation.
- Work alongside the Chief Accountant to move tasks from the external service provider in-house
- Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping and reconciliations: sales, expenses, prepayments and accruals, bank transactions, AR, AP, FX transactions, etc. across all global entities. Identify gaps in the data flow and suggest structural fixes.
- Manage the current manual sales records (Shopify, Amazon, etc.) into Netsuite with the goal of full automation.
- Prepare and manage monthly VAT, i.SAF, and local LT tax declarations (PIT, SODRA).
- Support Chief accountant in delivering timely and accurate month-end closing tasks and internal reporting
- Support Chief accountant in preparation of financial statements and annual statutory audit
- Once automated, help the Chief accountant to design and maintain control procedures to ensure data integrity
Relevant work experience
- 3+ Years of Full-Cycle Accounting: Deep Understanding of the Entire Accounting Lifecycle, from Initial Transaction Flows to More Complex Transactions and Month-End Procedures
- Versatile Experience: Broad Track Record Across Multiple Accounting Functions, Not Limited to One Area (e.g., Just AP or Just Payroll).
- System & Data Savvy: Experience with NetSuite or Tier 1 ERPs (like Dynamics 365)
- LT Compliance: Up-to-date Knowledge of Lithuanian Tax Laws (VAT/i.SAF, PIT, SODRA).
- Analytical Ownership: A Proactive "Builder" Mindset. You Are Comfortable Questioning Existing Processes and Taking Full Responsibility for Your Area of Work.
- Language: Fluency in English and Lithuanian (written and spoken)
