Job description

As a Simulation Engineer (m/f/x), you are responsible for the mechanical design, analysis, and evaluation of components and assemblies of our rotary heat pump. Using analytical methods and FEM simulations, you support the design team in developing robust, durable, and cost-efficient solutions and actively contribute to the optimization of our products.

  • Performing mechanical simulations and strength calculations for components and assemblies of the rotational heat pump
  • Conducting static strength and fatigue strength analyses according to the FKM guideline (linear and nonlinear)
  • Performing bolt calculations according to VDI 2230 and evaluating different load scenarios
  • Creating and analyzing 3D FEM models in Ansys Mechanical / Workbench
  • Applying analytical calculation methods (e.g., Excel) for rapid concept evaluation
  • Optional: Performing modal analyses and dynamic investigations
  • Documenting and tracking all simulations and calculation results
  • Close collaboration with mechanical design and assembly teams

Relevant work experience

  • Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
  • At least 3 years of experience in mechanical simulation or FEM analysis
  • Experience with relevant standards and guidelines such as FKM guideline, VDI 2230, AD2000, IIW
