Job description
As a (Senior) People Operations Manager (f/m/x), you will oversee the people operations for a rapidly growing team, ensuring that processes are efficient and compliant. You will centralize onboarding, manage HR compliance, and develop repeatable processes to improve the employee experience. This role is vital as it supports the growth of Suena Energy, a green tech startup, by creating a structured and supportive environment for its employees.
- Own end-to-end People Operations — from Personio and contract changes to parental leave, health insurance, and visa topics
- Turn one-off cases into repeatable processes — research once, document it, and set it up so the next person doesn't start from zero
- Centralize and own our onboarding into one process, instead of split across the team
- Own end-to-end HR compliance — workplace safety, first-aid and fire-safety officers, mandatory trainings — and make sure we stay compliant as we grow
- Catch what's missing before anyone has to ask — double-check the details, flag what needs fixing, follow through
- Co-own culture with Marietta, our People Lead – team rituals, internal comms, the things that make suena feel like suena
- Take on strategic People projects as you grow into the role, with room to develop toward HR Business Partner work
Relevant work experience
- Hands-on People Operations experience – you've owned the employee lifecycle, not just supported someone who did
- You navigate German bureaucracy – labor law, social security, health insurance, visa topics – and you always know what actually matters
- Personio know-how – ideally you've set up or automated workflows in it
- You own problems, not just tasks – you build what's missing, flag what's broken, and fix it without being asked
