About us

H2SITE specializes in advanced membrane reactor technology designed to produce and separate high-purity hydrogen efficiently. Their solutions extract hydrogen from carriers such as ammonia, methanol, and syngas, as well as from mixtures in existing infrastructures like pipelines and storage facilities. Using palladium-alloy membranes, H2SITE achieves hydrogen purity levels of 99.97%, suitable for fuel cells and industrial applications. Their technology addresses challenges in hydrogen transportation and storage, contributing to the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors and supporting the global transition to sustainable energy sources. Founded in 2020 in Bilbao, Spain, as a spin-off from TECNALIA and Eindhoven University of Technology, H2SITE combines over a decade of research in membrane technology and process intensification. Their mission is to provide innovative solutions that make high-purity hydrogen more accessible, facilitating the global shift towards sustainable energy. H2SITE operates in the renewable energy sector, focusing on hydrogen production and separation technologies to support industries aiming to reduce carbon emissions and achieve net-zero targets.
